Countdown to Christmas
As usual, we are getting dangerously close to Christmas, and all my shopping is not done. I don’t know if you’re like me but my internal dialogue is something along the lines of, ‘There’s not that much to buy, you have some time.’
Of course, you know what this means. I’ll be one of the zillion people in Target at the last minute because I forgot to get that stocking stuffer or card or whatever.
Why do I do this to myself? If you saw my to-do list or schedule you would see that I am a fairly put-together guy with pretty good control of his time. Why do I make Christmas difficult?
Perhaps it is because it is out of the ordinary.
Maybe it's because I want to enjoy the season, and shopping is generally not my idea of enjoyment.
Perhaps something else or all of the above.
So let's all take a minute and put some shopping on the calendar. Seriously, I am stopping writing and doing it right now. I guess you can call my wife the day after Christmas and see if it worked.
Hope it works for you, and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
