A Perspective Shift in 2025
How has your 2024 been? If I’m honest, mine wasn’t the greatest. I went through some pretty tough things at work and at home.
But then again, some really awesome things have happened this year:
- Our new company president, Josh Hendrickson, has done an amazing job in his first full year.
- I’ve gotten better at learning Spanish.
- My wife and I have had a wonderful year growing closer.
- One of my sons joined the business, he’s engaged to a girl we love.
Hm, well, maybe it hasn’t been such a terrible year after all.
Yeah, some bad stuff happened, things I wish I could go back and fix. But there’s always a silver lining, right? Maybe to some extent, it’s a matter of perspective.
This is the time of year to refocus.
If you’re like me, what you refocus on is what you’ve been given. Careful, I’m about to get preachy.
What I have been given is the reason we celebrate Christmas. Bad things are always going to happen in life, so are good things. Neither changes the most important thing - that is, that Jesus Christ gave himself so that I could have eternal life. And when I compare what Jesus has done for me, with whatever bad things I have going on; well, Jesus wins.
So, I guess 2024 was a pretty good year. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a 2025 filled with good things.
