Wilson Lumber Company is pleased to announce two operational promotions as the company continues to grow in Alabama’s fastest-growing housing market.
While engineered floor trusses are nothing new, they have continued to increase in popularity over the past couple of decades due to their exceptional strength, construction advantages, durability and reliability.
Over the past 20 years prefabricated roof trusses have become one of the most reliable and cost-effective wood framing options for builders and contractors.
In one of his college engineering classes, Jackie Crutcher had to design a set of house trusses by hand. “I thought to myself, ‘If I ever get out of this class, I will never look at another truss as long as I live.’”
Wilson Lumber improves training approach after hiring women
We recently added a truss plant in Westmoreland, Tennessee, about an hour and a half north of Nashville and about three hours north of our original Wilson Lumber plant in Madison, Alabama.
Wilson Lumber signed a lease for the 30,000-square-foot space in the Westmoreland Business Center and intends to launch a portion of the business in February 2019.
